WITCHES, GOBLINS' and more at the San Diego Doll Show
On Oct. 19, 2013, I will be at the San Diego Doll Show & Sale. It will be held at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 4011 Ohio St., SD Ca. 92104, 10-3PM.
This year, along with my Headwear, I began designing the costumes that are inspired by a story I am writing called GOBLINS' BEND.
I introduced RASPINA RASPBURI, the WITCH and now I will introduce the second costume in the "WITCHES" collection. Deconstructed, Gothic, Steampunk...its a bit of all, and I will be showing it at the Doll show in Oct. These costumes are deconstructed muti-layered and intriquet. The are hand sewn and each adornment is selected by me and sewn into place. Each one of the GOBLIN costumes has it's own unique detailing and most come with five items. I have met facebook friends and long time customers at these shows and if you are in town, please stop by my table and let's meet!

BJD Costumes, Hats and Stories that go Bump in the Night!...
This week I will be leaving to go up to Silent Valley for the summer, where I will be starting new BJD projects. First up? I am currently finishing three new GOBLIN costumes and creating their headpieces. They will be listed in my etsy store very soon. If you are going to be at the August Doll and Teddy Bear Show, in Clairemont Ca., or the BJD Convention in November in Mission Bay, San Diego, Ca. I will be there in person to help you customize and select each piece of your costume! Each costume comes with 5-7 pieces and includes a unique, OOAK headpiece. If you are on my mailing list, this week you read about RASPINA RASPBURI'S costume and a little bit about who she is and the designing of her headpiece and costume. The aesthetic approach I have taken to these particular designs, is very natural and raw in concept and construction. Each costume is layered with several different pieces and the headpieces all include the hair, which is sewn into the crown. Each one is different and unique in the shape, color and size. As you read the book, you will be able to collect costumes that were inspired by this adventure. The entire first book adventure will be available later this year. In the meantime, start with book #1 in order to meet each character and start the journey!
